In less than a month, it’ll be less than a year since the MCO in Malaysia began. So much has changed during this period, and staying indoors almost 95% of the time does things to your mind. So I ended up being physically active to pass the time and help my mental health. This has also led to me buying quite a bit of fitness related items.
I talk a lot about my fitness experiences on this blog because it made such a big impact for me. The progress has been rewarding, especially since I hit 89kg after years of being over 90kg!
But oh boy, talking about how much I spent on fitness related items sure feels pretty daunting.

If you’re on a weight loss journey especially for the new year, the most common suggestion you will get (on top of a variety of diets) are workouts such as cardio or HIIT.
You would commonly see the word HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) along with the word weight loss in plenty of articles and workout videos. It’s well known as one of the most effective ways to burn calories and hike up your metabolism in a short amount of time!
So if you have been doing HIIT, or at least planning to do HIIT, as part of your weight loss goals, I don’t blame you. I was in the same boat as you. Sort of.

More than a month ago, I decided to take on Wanafit’s 4 Week Challenge where not only do I do various workouts for five weeks, but also take on food challenges within those five days: from “No added sugars” to even “Low/No carb/sodium”.
Everyone participating in the challenge had been amazing and very supportive. Which was why by the end of the four weeks I actually succeeded in making some significant changes.
